Hi everyone. Welcome to another Animal Love Day in this weekly feature of lovely animal patterns and illustrations. Today is a long post because our special guest is very tall!
I hope you look forward to these posts each week.
The animals covered will include birds, fish, insects, extinct creatures and mythical creatures.
First I will show you a new pattern I’ve been working on and then a designer showcase of beautiful patterns and illustrations.
So a big, tall welcome to our guest this week – the giraffe! Such a beautiful, elegant creature – have you ever seen a giraffe in real life? Â They walk with the grace and poise of a catwalk model – amazing to watch!
MY DESIGN
I made a patchwork design with baby giraffes in sweet colours. Read more…

Hi everyone. Welcome to the third Animal Love Day! I hope you’re enjoying all the wonderful animal illustration and pattern.
As usual I will showcase one of my own designs first and then a designer showcase.
The animals covered will include birds, fish, insects, extinct creatures and mythical creatures.
So this week, we have a mischievous guest – that playful little creature that swings through the jungles!
MY DESIGN
I liked the idea of repetitive shapes and wanted to do a purely geometric design. Everything is designed around circles and ovals. I am also a massive Kawaii fan and love their cute, simple designs and bright, happy colours. Read more…
Animal Love Day – Dinosaur!
On 24, Apr 2013 | 4 Comments | In Animal Love Day, animals, design, designer, illustration, inspiration, my work | By Tina
Hi everyone. Welcome to another Animal Love Day –  where I celebrate the fabulous world of animal illustration and pattern! This feature combines two loves of mine – animals and cute design.
The showcase comes in two parts. First I will show you my own animal design (a brand new illustration/pattern/sketch or an old one). Then I will host a designer showcase.
The animals covered will include birds, fish, insects, extinct creatures and mythical creatures.
This week it’s all about those fantastic beasts that roamed the earth millions of years ago!
MY DESIGN
I liked the idea of dinosaurs playing football. I was given a brief recently for a young boy interested in football and decided to do the coolest of animals – dinosaurs! I hope you like it.

Easter Patterns & Illustrations

Hi everyone. Happy Easter Monday! Some lovely Easter patterns on the blog today.
I came across some really gorgeous Easter Patterns and Illustrations from other designers.
I hope you like them. ♡
I love the colour scheme and the bunny rabbits are just so adorable. The designs on the Easter eggs are great and I love the ‘I scream for Jellybeans!’ quote. It’s such a sweet design from Amy King.
Another cute design from Genine Delahaye. I’m a big fan of hearts and love seeing them. The bunny is very sweet with her rosy cheeks!
Fresh colour scheme. I love the background Easter pattern. It really makes the design. ♡

Hi everyone. I have been really inspired by the new Holland & Barrett ad on TV. It’s a Springtime animation and the artist is Uzbekistan illustrator Yulia Drobova.
It is so adorable. My favourite characters are the cute bunnies!
You can see more of Yulia’s work here. ♡
Decorque Guest Post
On 20, Feb 2013 | One Comment | In blog, design, designer, guest, inspiration | By Tina
Hi everyone. Today I would like to welcome Decorque as my first guest contributor. The lovely Harriet from Decorque will introduce their brand to you and reveal their dream for 2013. ♡
I would like to introduce Decorque as a new family run on-line business that launched in September 2012.
Our team is a diverse mix of talents! Lesley Stevens is Decorque’s owner and head designer, also a qualified surface pattern and textile designer who has worked in the fashion industry for many years. Aaron Hawkins is our web developer, who worked on the design and fully implemented our website, he works continuously updating the site to keep a fresh and interesting experience for the customer. Chris Stevens is our expert in eCommerce and all business matters. Then there is myself, Harriet Stevens, a qualified graphic designer, working in the retail sector and designing windows for a UK high-street brand, who manages Decorque’s print production, digital design and social media avenues.
As a team we decided to find a medium to introduce Lesley’s fashion-edge prints to the home-ware market, which so far has been hard work, but an inspiring and exciting challenge.
So this is what we do, we turn this, into this!!Â
