Hi everyone. I’m delighted this post is part of The Declaration of You – Blog Lovin’ Tour – by Michelle Ward and Jessica Swift! Learn more – and join over 100 other creative bloggers by clicking here.
The Declaration of You will be published by North Light Craft Books this summer, with readers getting all the permission they’ve craved to step passionately into their lives, discover how they and their gifts are unique and uncover what they are meant to do!
So I’ve been asked to write about Enthusiasm and what it means to me!
Where does my enthusiasm come from?
I think Enthusiasm is stitched into my clothes, because I’m naturally a very enthusiastic person!
Anyone that knows me, knows I’m a big kid and get very excited about things! I sound like a nightmare, but I promise I have a serious side too (the enthusiastic side is more fun though!!).
I suppose my enthusiasm comes from trying to hang on to my childhood and all the wonder of that world.
I’ve never really grown up and don’t want to! I’m not ashamed of this. It keeps me young!
How does your enthusiasm fuel you?
I think enthusiasm is my battery fuel! It keeps me working late, it keeps me dreaming big dreams. Thinking positively and trying to turn negatives on their head is what keeps me taking baby step after baby step. (Not saying this is easy, it can be a struggle at times!)
What’s held you back from discovering your enthusiasm?
Nothing! If people ever tell me to act my age (they rarely do), I just tell them, we would never have amazing children’s books or films or illustrations if people acted their age!
The older I get, the less I care what people think of me.
What things are you enthusiastic about, but feel are ‘silly’ or ‘wrong’ for an adult to be excited by?
Again there is nothing I feel silly or wrong to be excited by. I am regularly excited by the following things:
What’s your personal declaration around enthusiasm?
I believe in the power of Enthusiasm!
I illustrated the following quote from Henry Ford:
I âĄÂ it! This is the entire quote:
Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes rise to the stars.
Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes, the swing in your gait.
The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.
Henry Ford
Thanks for reading! I’d love to hear about your Enthusiasm! âĄ
