Hi everyone. I’ve been working on some Easter designs. I hope you like them.
Easter isn’t too far away. If you’ve given up chocolate for Lent, it won’t be long until you eats lots of Easter eggs on Sunday! Yummy!
I love bunnies and the Easter bunny is cute and colourful in this Spring colour scheme!
Lots of cute Easter designs and quirky eggs and flowers to keep the Easter bunny happy!
I absolutely adore Spring colours and it’s my favourite time of year for flowers – daffodils, tulips and primroses. Such pretty colours everywhere! ♡
NOTE – The first pattern is available as a 48 page notebook – available HERE!
Hi everyone. Easter isn’t too far away, so today’s post is about Easter crafts.

Hi everyone. I would like to wish you all a Happy St Patrick’s Day, wherever you are in the world, whether you’re Irish or not! Today everyone is an honorary Irish person!
So happy to see so many worldwide landmarks turn green for the day – Sydney Opera House, The Pyramids, Niagara Falls, Christ the Redeemer Statue, to name a few.
Here’s an Irish blessing for you:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
In 2013 The Gathering is happening in Ireland. It’s a year-long celebration of Ireland and all things Irish. It’s an opportunity for people to come to Ireland and ‘when we get together, great things happen.’ Check out their website to find out more (there’s also information about tracing your roots, if you have Irish blood).
In Ireland it is customary to speak Irish today. So I will leave you with this. Go n-éirí an bóthar leat (Guh nigh-ree on bo-her lath). Good luck!
Happy St Patrick’s Day to you ♡
Hi everyone. Hope you’re having a lovely St. Valentine’s Day. Are you seeing hearts everywhere?
Today I made some cupcakes for my family, as a token of love. The blueberries and strawberries on top are an attempt to make them healthier! They were delicious and everyone had happy tummies!
I got the recipe from Donal Skehan, who is Ireland’s answer to Jamie Oliver! He makes delicious and simple food. Check out the recipe here. ♡
Hi everyone. Yesterday I was thrilled to see my Valentine’s Day Squiggly Hearts design on the Tigerprint Homepage.
Tigerprint asked designers to design a Valentine’s image for their rotating homepage. Check out their website here for my design and those of other talented designers. ♡
Hi everyone. Now that it’s February it won’t be long until we have that special day of love – St Valentine’s Day. So I’ve compiled a little collection of crafts to get yourself ready for the day.
Don’t feel left out if you don’t have a partner. Spend the day with someone you love, whether that’s a parent/grandparent, a friend, a sibling, your child or even your pet and make them feel special!
Decorate windows with these simple but effective Yarn Hearts. Find out how to make them here.
Make something yummy for your loved one. Why not a Lovehearts cheesecake? This looks absolutely delicious!
Get the recipe here.
It’s time to wear something nice, so how about a really cute string necklace to finish off your Valentine’s outfit?
Find out how to make this adorable necklace here.
And you’ll need a place to carry all those craft supplies or for Valentine’s shopping. Check out Dreaming on a Star’s Falling Hearts totebag, perfect for St Valentine’s Day.
You can buy it here.
Enjoy all your crafting! ♡
Hi everyone. Today for the first time in 2 years I woke up to a blanket of snow! I was so excited! Yes, we’ve had snow on the mountains during Winter but today it was snowing and it was like feathers falling from heaven!
Snow is one of my favourite things. The world is transformed into an immaculate wonderland and there’s magic in the air when it snows.
Unfortunately it has all but melted – the joys of living beside the Atlantic ocean! So I would like to share some pictures from the Big Freeze a few years ago. I hope you like them ♡
Early morning sunlight piercing through the mist. Snow makes everything so peaceful.
We made this snowman and we called him Murray after the band manager in Flight of the Conchords! He was 6 foot tall and in this picture he seems to have made a little friend!
This is a picture of a pier and in the background is a frozen solid river! Where I live we rarely get weather like this, so it was amazing to be able to walk on a river! Far in the distance (on the right) is Ben Bulben mountain, made famous by the poet W.B. Yeats.
This is a close-up of that mountain – Ben Bulben. This picture was taken only a few days before the previous picture. You can clearly see the river. There was a small bit of ice on the river that day and everyday it grew and grew until it completely covered the entire river and lake!
I love this photo. It reminds me of an old Victorian Christmas card I once saw, where there was a small injection of colour in a snowy landscape.
This was a fascinating picture. I had never seen anything like it in my life. These are brambles completely covered in snow crystals. Up close you could see the crystal structure. (I have since found out they are called Fernlike Stellar Dendrites!)
I hope you like my snowy pictures. I will never forget the Big Freeze and the joys of walking through Narnia! ♡
Hi everyone. Do you remember the fabulous FREE January calendar download from Majo Bautista BV? Well there’s a FREE February download available now, created by Tiffany Designs.
Love is in the air for this Valentine’s influenced design.
Click here to download and find out a little about the designer behind Tiffany Designs ♡
Hi everyone. I am very excited to be part of a collaboration with 11 other surface pattern designers to create a Free Calendar. The project was run by Majo of MuyMajoBV Designs and we each designed a month. Our unifying element was Pantone’s Spring 2013 Colour Palette.
Today you can download the month of January, designed by Majo herself.
I was given the month of November and my inspiration for the design was Movember and all the quirky moustaches that people have.
You can have a sneek peak at the other designs here, where you can also download a high res version of January.
Feel free to share with your friends.
Thank you Majo for including me in this fantastic collaboration ♡
NOTE – all downloads are for personal use only and cannot be used commercially. Please respect copyright of each individual designer. Thank you ♡
