Hi everyone. I entered a competition a few weeks ago ran by Kirsten Miller of Moon Rabbit Design, and I was lucky enough to win!
So last week I got a package in the post and look what was inside:
Such a pretty parcel, wrapped up with lovely Moon Rabbit ribbon and a lovely sticker.
Hi everyone. Do you remember the fabulous FREE January calendar download from Majo Bautista BV? Well there’s a FREE February download available now, created by Tiffany Designs.
Love is in the air for this Valentine’s influenced design.

Hi everyone. I’ve had such a lovely week’s holiday with my family and spending time playing with my niece and (brand new!) nephew. I will tell you all about them in a few days but for now I would like to tell you a little bit of what I’ve been up to.
I am involved with a fantastic group of Surface Pattern Designers, most of whom took part in the Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design run by Rachael Taylor and Beth Nicholls.
One of the members, Gill Eggleston of Pattern Addict, organised an EFUTO Envelope Project a number of weeks ago. (You can read my post about the EFUTO project here). She painstakingly compiled our EFUTO envelopes into a database entitled The Little White Book of Surface Pattern Designers.
It’s a fantastic idea and a one-stop shop for finding new design talent. Here is my entry, which can be found on page 51.
Take a peek through the database, here and see the talent that exists in this amazing group ♡
Hi everyone. I am very excited to be part of a collaboration with 11 other surface pattern designers to create a Free Calendar. The project was run by Majo of MuyMajoBV Designs and we each designed a month. Our unifying element was Pantone’s Spring 2013 Colour Palette.
Today you can download the month of January, designed by Majo herself.
I was given the month of November and my inspiration for the design was Movember and all the quirky moustaches that people have.
You can have a sneek peak at the other designs here, where you can also download a high res version of January.
Feel free to share with your friends.
Thank you Majo for including me in this fantastic collaboration ♡
NOTE – all downloads are for personal use only and cannot be used commercially. Please respect copyright of each individual designer. Thank you ♡
Hi everyone. I am just finishing up Module 3 of the Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design e-course. I still have lots of exercises to do, but the course itself is finished. I did Module 1 and 2 earlier on in the year and I really can’t recommend this course enough.
I have grown in my abilities as a designer and gained confidence in myself. I feel like I can take on the world of Surface Pattern, whereas before I really didn’t know what to do.
The information gained is priceless, the student support network is crucial. I feel like this is only the beginning of a beautiful new world and I want to share it with everyone. Thank you Rachael and Beth for such an amazing course! ♡

Hi everyone. I’m delighted to be part of the ‘Passion for Pattern’ Bloghop on Sunday 16th September 2012. This is a great idea by surface pattern designer Claire Smillie. It’s a showcase of beautiful designs from over 20 surface pattern designers. You literally hop from one designer’s blog to the next looking at a small sample of their work.
Check out the previous bloghop here. ♡
Hi everyone. I started Module 3 of the Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design today and am very excited by it. Hoping to learn lots and pick up lots of great tips. ♡
