50 Facts About Me!

Hi everyone. Today I wanted to share some fun facts about me. I got the idea from Hannah Byatt, a talented surface pattern designer, who also did the same thing on her blog. You can see Hannah’s facts here.

1. I was christened Tina Marie, and my Dad named me after a song.
2. Laughing is the best medicine.
3. I collect music and have over 500 CDs.
4. I love watching documentaries about astronomy and history.
5. I am a massive Star Wars fan and could watch the original trilogy for the rest of my life.
6. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 20 years.
7. I have a diploma in Chemistry from many moons ago. I still write water as H20.
8. Jam sandwiches without butter is wrong!
9. My biggest fear is getting my hands cut off. (I think this stems from Darth Vader cutting Luke Skywalker’s hand off in Empire Strikes Back!)
10. I know how to play the guitar but I’m not very good at it.
11. I believe in Santa Claus!
12. I wash my hands about 50 times a day
13. The X Factor takes the soul out of music.
14. I’ve written 3 books and I’m trying to get one of them published.
15. Like Hannah, I’m not a fan of hairdressers. They rarely get my haircut right.
16. I am a really annoying perfectionist.
17. I don’t know my right from my left.
18. The best day of my life was the day my younger brother was born.
19. The dumbing down of society makes me very mad.
20. It takes me an hour to drink a cup of tea.
21. I once played with a real tiger.
22. My favourite season is Winter.
23. I once flew in a helicopter.
24. I love learning new things and am an eternal student.
25. Alan Partridge is the funniest man on TV.
26. I go through phases where I get really passionate about something and have to know everything about it. This may or may not last! My newest passions are rowing and recipes!
27. Chocolate is what people eat in heaven!
28. I love to keep fit by rowing and cycling. Being outside in beautiful scenery really helps.
29. But I hate gyms.
30. There are three people inside of me – a small child, a teenage boy and an old lady! They sometimes fight with each other!
31. I love travelling and my favourite places so far are London, Barcelona, Lisbon and Tokyo.
32. My favourite place in the whole world is my bed!
33. I wish people looked up to Leonardo daVinci and Einstein instead of celebrities.
34. My favourite colour is purple.
35. Bad spelling really irritates me. A pet hate is when people mix up ‘lose’ and ‘loose’.
36. I rarely go to bed before midnight.
37. I love watching scary films and while some have been scary, I think the scariest film has yet to be made!
38. I’m from Ireland and I can speak Irish – Fáilte go dtí mo bhlag. Tá súil agam go mhaith leat é! (Welcome to my blog. I hope you like it!)
39. I like to quote funny films.
40. I have freakishly long arms. They’re not noticeable when you meet me, but I can almost guarantee they’re longer than yours!
41. I am very excitable.
42. I like to get wrapped up in a blanket when I watch TV (that’s the inner granny coming out!)
43. I have loads of half-read books around the house. I really dislike this about me.
44. Nature always inspires me.
45. My feet are nearly always cold!
46. I have a green belt in kickboxing.
47. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is my favourite film – it’s magical, witty, dark, imaginative, eccentric and highly quotable!
48. I am a hopeless romantic.
49. My favourite game is Zelda.
50. One of my favourite quotes is, “A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men!”
51. I have way too many scarves.
52. I once drove at 88mph but I didn’t go back in time 😉

I numbered the facts wrong and when I corrected them I ended up with two extra. So there is 52 Facts you now know about me!
